CBS’ “Under the Dome” scored a 2.2 rating on Monday, the best of the summer, though it was down by a third from its big debut last year. Fox finished first in key demo ratings, edging out CBS by one-tenth of a point.
Fox had a 1.7 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and third in viewers with an average of 5.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. At 8 p.m., “MasterChef” scored a 1.9/7 and had 5.2 million viewers. At 9, “24: Live Another Day” got a 1.5/4 and 5.8 viewers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 1.6/5 and first in viewers with 6.9 million. Following reruns, “Under the Dome” at 10 earned a 2.2/7 and 9.4 million viewers.
ABC was third in ratings with a 1.4/4 and second in viewers with 5.6 million. “The Bachelorette” at 8 received a 1.5/5 and 6.3 million viewers. “Mistresses” at 10 had a 1.1/3 and 4.1 million viewers.
NBC and Univision tied for fourth in ratings, both with a 1.2/4. NBC was fourth in ratings with 4 million viewers, Univision was fifth with 3 million.

For NBC, a special “Harry Potter: Making of Diagon Alley” at 8 had a 0.8/3 and 3 million viewers. A repeat followed.
Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in total viewers with 1.7 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in total viewers with 1.3 million. Following reruns, “Beauty and the Beast” at 9 got a 0.3/1 and 812,000 viewers.
