YouTube star Colleen Ballinger-Evans has landed a new Netflix series, the comedian announced Thursday.

The comedy, titled “Haters Back Off,” is based on her popular character Miranda Sings. Ballinger-Evans announced the news in character on her YouTube channel.

The series delves into the oddball family life of Miranda Sings, an incredibly confident, totally untalented star on the rise who continues to fail upward by the power of her belief that she was born famous, it’s just no one knows it yet.

The comedian’s popular Miranda Sings YouTube channel currently has over 5.78 million subscribers and 824 million total views.

Ballinger-Evans developed the series with her brother, Chris Ballinger, and Perry Rein & Gigi McCreery. The four executive produce with Jeff Kwatinetz and Josh Barry of The Firm. Rein and McCreery will serve as showrunners on the series produced by Brightlight Pictures Inc. for Netflix.
