Zac Efron and Robert De Niro Go on Spring Break Road Trip in First ‘Dirty Grandpa’ Trailer (Video)

The comedy opens in theaters on Jan. 22

Zac Efron and Robert De Niro take a road trip up to Boca Raton, Florida — and things get slightly out of hand — in the first official trailer for “Dirty Grandpa.”

The comedy follows Efron as an uptight young man who is forced to drive his foul-mouthed grandpa (De Niro) to a retirement community in Boca Raton, Florida. Along the way, the grandfather forces his grandson to stop off at a few Spring Break party spots.

Aubrey Plaza, Zoey Deutch, and Dermot Mulroney co-star in the film. John Phillips wrote the script with Dan Mazer directing. Bill Block‘s QED International, Jason Barrett, Barry Josephson, Michael Simkin and Running Wild are producing.

Lionsgate is distributing the film. “Dirty Grandpa” hits theaters on Jan. 22.
