Alec Baldwin made a surprise appearance on Thursday’s episode of the primetime edition of “Weekend Update” to revive the Donald Trump impression for which he received an Emmy nomination.

The sketch lampooned Trump’s rally in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday and touched on a number of recent headlines and viral moments related to the president, including his ill-advised glance at Monday’s solar eclipse, the ousting of chief strategist Steve Bannon and his response to the violence in Charlottesville earlier this month.

“Wow, how about that eclipse, folks?” Baldwin asked the crowd after coming out wearing eclipse glasses. “Now, a lot of people don’t know this, but you can damage your eyes while looking at an eclipse. No one could have predicted this. They couldn’t have. I figured it out all by myself.”

Kenan Thompson also appeared in the sketch as the one black audience member at the rally, telling Baldwin’s Trump that he attended because “that’s what the ad said [he] was looking for.”

Baldwin was also joined by “SNL’s” skeleton version of Bannon — played by Mikey Day — who was brought out one last time for a “proper goodbye.”

“You’ve only made me more powerful,” he said. “I’m going to crush you.”
