World Series Game 3 Scores a Tuesday Primetime Ratings Win for Fox

The Phillies-Astro pairing drew 11.2 million viewers

The World Series Game 3 scored a Tuesday primetime win for Fox as the network blew away the competition, taking first place in both total viewership and the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, according to Nielsen’s live plus same-day figures.

The highly anticipated game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Houston Astros gave a home run to Fox by earning a ratings score of 2.63 in the key demo and drawing in 11.3 total viewers for the network during Tuesday’s primetime. As the Phillies became the fourth team in history to hit five home runs in the World Series, the 8 p.m. game scored a rating of 2.6 and a total viewership of 11.2 million on average — a whooping 273% increase from last week’s airing of “The Resident” in the 8 p.m. slot, which received 3 million average viewers.
