CNN Pulls Anderson Cooper’s Late-Night Show From Schedule

Chatfest “AC360 Later” premiered last September

CNN has pulled “AC360 Later” from its primetime schedule, a spokesperson for the network told TheWrap on Friday.

The Anderson Cooper-lead show, which debuted in September at 10 p.m., had been an experimental discussion-based series that never had a permanent spot on the schedule. The show was frequently bumped for breaking news, like the death of Nelson Mandela, and special programming like CNN’s documentaries and films.

Cooper remains host of “AC360” at 8 p.m., and staffers on the late show are expected to be absorbed into other shows around the network.

The cancelation of “AC360 Later” comes three days after CNN pulled the plug on CNN Latino, an 8-hour syndicated news and programming block targeted toward Hispanic audiences.
