Julianne Hough is headed to the “Dancing With the Stars” finals as a guest judge.
The pro dancer (and actress and singer) will be filling in for brother Derek Hough, who has been quarantining since testing positive for COVID-19 in a breakthrough case last week.
TheWrap has learned that while he won’t be in attendance at Monday’s “DWTS” finale, Derek will make a virtual appearance on the show.
Julianne, like her brother, is a mirrorball champ many times over and previously served as a judge on the show. She’ll join the judging panel that includes Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.
Derek announced his breakthrough COVID case last week using his Instagram to inform fans.
“Even though I’ve been fully vaccinated, I’ve just been diagnosed with a breakthrough case of COVID,” the judge said at the time. “I just found out and I feel OK. I feel strong, but I’m currently taking advice from medical professionals, doing everything I can to get better as fast as I can.”
“Dancing” airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
