Buzzy Disney XD movie “Pants on Fire” has been set to premiere on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. ET, the cable channel announced on Thursday.
The movie starring Disney star Bradley Steven Perry (“Mighty Med,” “Good Luck Charlie”), Joshua J. Ballard (“Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days”) and Disney XD’s Tyrel Jackson Williams (“Lab Rats”) follows 15-year-old Jack Parker (Perry) as all the lies he’s ever told suddenly become real — including a possessive girlfriend, a roving duo of alien body-snatchers, and Mikey (Williams), the made-up friend that Jack claims to tutor.
It’s then up to Jack and his buddy Ryan (Ballard) to figure out who or what is behind this crazy situation, all while chasing down a plush purple hippo who may hold the key to unlocking this mind-boggler.
The movie also stars Brittney Wilson as Jack’s sister Hannah, Taylor Russell as Jack’s school crush and Nicholas Coombe as Jack’s friend Eric.
Filmed in Vancouver, “Pants on Fire” was directed by Jon Rosenbaum (“Mighty Med,” “Austin & Ally”) and written by Alex Cramer.
Kim Arnott (“Radio Rebel,” “The Haunting Hour”), MarVista Entertainment’s CEO Fernando Szew (“Fir Crazy,” “Seattle Superstorm”) and EVP Production and Development Robyn Snyder (“16 Wishes,” “House of Versace”) will serve as executive producers.
