Kevin Hart share first look at "Jumanji" starring The Rock

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has kept fans in the loop while filming “Jumanji,” and now the actor shared the first photo of co-star Nick Jonas on the set.

“Officially welcoming my guy @NickJonas to #Jumanji,” Johnson wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday. “Great dude, great positive energy and very talented. He’s gonna kill this role like I kill things with my bare hands.”

He continued, “The jungle awaits. The adventure continues. And ironically the one who sings the most on set is Jack Black. #OnLocation #Hawaii #WelcomeToTheFamilyNick #Jumanji.”

In the photo, both actors are clad in jungle gear, staring into the camera.

Jake Kasdan (“Orange County”) is directing, based off the screenplay by Zach Helm, Chris McKenna, Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg and Erik Sommers. The film costars Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillian.

And for those worried about the movie stepping on the toes of the beloved 1995 Robin Williams adventure, Johnson has already assured fans it will not be an issue.

“Now in two weeks I’ll reunite with ol’ friends Kevin Hart & Jack Black and we have the honor to introduce a whole new generation to the amazing world of #JUMANJI. *(for the record we are NOT making a reboot, but rather a continuation of the awesome JUMANJI story),” he said back in August.

“Jumanji” is set to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
