Ratings: ABC’s ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Slightly Down, ‘The Voice’ Auditions Recap Show Drops

Fox’s comedy lineup has a small uptick as a group

ABC’s “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” continued its decline Tuesday from a mammoth debut two weeks earlier, on a night where “The Voice” and NBC were top-rated despite a predictable drop from last week’s audition show.

NBC was first in ratings with a 2.7 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 9.2 million, according to preliminary numbers.

“The Voice” at 9 was the top-rated show of the evening, earning a 2.9/8 and 10 million viewers. The recap show rating represents a 36 percent drop from last week’s audition show, though the first hour of Tuesday’s broadcast was used to air extended previews of the networks fall shows. It was the first two-hour results show in series history. “Chicago Fire” at 10 earned a 2.2/6 and 7.6 million viewers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 2.4/7 and first in total viewers with 14.8 million. “NCIS” at 8 earned a 2.7/8 — down 23 percent from last week — and 17.9 million viewers, making it the most-watched show in primetime. “NCIS: Los Angeles” at 9 received a 2.6/7 and 14.8 million viewers. At 10, “Person of Interest” got a 2.0/6 and 11.7 million viewers.

ABC was third in ratings with a 1.8/5 and in total viewers with 5.4 million. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” at 8 earned a 2.8/9 — a 15 percent decline from prior week –and 7.7 million viewers. At 9, “The Goldbergs” received a 2.0/5 and 5.7 million viewers. At 9:30, “Trophy Wife” got a 1.4/4 and 4.7 million viewers. A repeat followed.

Fox was in fourth in ratings with a 1.6/5 and fifth in total viewers with 3.36 million. It’s Tuesday comedy line-up had a minor uptick from last week. “Dads” at 8 earned a 1.3/4 and 3.1 million viewers. At 8:30, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” received a 1.5/4 and 3.4 million viewers. “New Girl” at 9 got a 2.1/6 and 4 million viewers. At 9:30, “The Mindy Project” received a 1.4/4 and 3 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 1.3/4 and fourth in viewers with 3.4 million.

The CW was sixth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and in total viewers 2.2 million. The premiere of “The Originals” at 8 earned a 0.9/3 and 1.9 million viewers. At 9, the “Supernatural” premiere received a 1.2/3 and 2.5 million viewers.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.5/1 and in total viewers with 1.3 million.
