"Welcome to the Dollhouse" star Heather Matarazzo and her longtime partner, Caroline Murphy, plan to take advantage of New York's legalization of same-sex marriage — but not too soon.
The couple told The Associated Press they didn't feel the need to marry immediately Sunday, the day the law took effect.
"I always wanted a wedding," Murphy said. "Not a trip to City Hall."

New York is the sixth and largest state to allow same-sex marriages.
The 28-year-old Matarazzo, whose roles include Sadie Atkins in the upcoming "Manson Girls," and Murphy, who is working on her first album, plan a wedding in the fall or spring, they told AP.
The couple have been engaged for three years and planned to marry in California until Proposition 8, which ended same-sex marriage in the state, dashed their plans.
They also look forward to having kids — first themselves, and then through adoption.
"We've always talked that Caroline would have a child first, and then I will go," Matarazzo said.
