How to Watch PBS NewsHour’s Coverage of Trump’s 2020 State of the Union Address Live Online

If you’re looking for a free State of the Union livestream that you can watch anywhere, PBS NewsHour has you covered

President Donald Trump is set to deliver his annual State of the Union address Tuesday night, amid political drama arising from the disastrous Iowa Caucus Monday evening and Wednesday’s final vote in his impeachment trial in the Senate. Every major network will be broadcasting the speech and the response from the Democrats live. That, of course, includes PBS NewsHour.

If you’re looking for a more sedated evening of coverage and analysis than you might get from the cable networks, PBS NewsHour could be the best destination for you. The program is making it easy for you to check out its offerings, too, as in addition to airing special coverage on your local PBS channel, PBS NewsHour will be livestreaming its broadcast on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

PBS NewsHour’s coverage will begin at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, which is also the scheduled start time for Trump’s speech. Coverage will be sprinkled in between Trump’s address and the response from the Democratic Party, as well as after, until 11 p.m. ET.

The two-hour event will be led by PBS NewsHour managing editor Judy Woodruff, with White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor and Capitol Hill correspondent Lisa Desjardins. They’ll be joined by additional commentators in the studio.
