“#Love” has been the most popular hashtag used on the social platform the past two years, a spokesperson for Instagram told TheWrap. So it’s no surprise the most popular photos this year contain star couples.
Mr. and Mrs. Kanye West’s wedding portrait, from their May nuptials in Italy, not only clocked 2.74 million likes to become the most-liked photo of the year, it set an Instagram record for most-liked of all time.
In third comes not a romantic couple, but two musical BFFs with legion fans: Ariana Grande’s post of the “Break Free” singer smooching Miley Cyrus, which got 1.84 million likes.
