On Monday, “Saturday Night Live” announced the hiring of new featured player Jon Rudnitsky. “Who?” most of the web asked. TheWrap has answered.

Below are the seven best web clips from the 25-year-old comic’s young career. Get to know him, because as we reported earlier, Rudnitsky will be the only new hire on “SNL’s” 41st season. All Season 40 cast members are set to return, however, filling the show’s 16 roster slots.

Rudnitsky will technically make his “SNL” debut on Oct. 3, when Miley Cyrus opens the year as host. That is, if he makes it into the live sketch show on his very first try. Let’s see how he’s done on the open Internet for now.
