Co-created by and starring Gad as Gigi, the slapstick comedy follows the lovable foreigner with dreams of fitting in as an “average American,” through absurd situations, and an unconventional love story. Gigi carries on, despite his lack of street smarts and his trouble with the English language.
Season 2’s adventures place Gigi in several new situations ranging from being in the hot seat in the midst of a court hearing, in the dental hygienist chair, at a yoga class, or on a date night.
Max Greenfield, Jenna Elfman, Felicia Day, and Peter Jason guest star on the series.
Gad was nominated for a Tony for his portrayal as Elder Cunningham in the Broadway musical, “The Book of Mormon,” from South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker. Gad’s many film credits include “Love and Other Drugs,” “Frozen,” and “Jobs.” He’ll next be seen on the big screen in upcoming comedies “The Wedding Ringer” and “Pixels.”
The actor’s television credits include a starring role on the short lived NBC comedy “1600 Penn,” a recurring role on Fox’s “New Girl,” and upcoming FX series, “The Comedians,” opposite Billy Crystal, airing next Spring.
Produced by BBC Worldwide Productions and the Lost Nomads in partnership with VictorHouse Films, “Gigi” is created, written and produced by Gad, Ty Clancey, Ida Darvish, Tyler Moore and Kevin Larsen of The Lost Nomads. Executive producers for BBC Worldwide Productions are Jane Tranter, Courtney Conte and Dan Tischler with John Martini as producer.”
