Kate Winslet has taken the time to weigh in on Miley Cyrus‘ antics since taking off her clothes at the 2013 MTV VMAs and twerking her way into the national consciousness and…she’s a little disturbed by it all.
“You hear horror stories where you think, ‘God, who’s looking after these people and why does it seem like they’re losing their way?’” she told the UK edition of Psychologies magazine, the Guardian reported. “I mean, you think about someone like Miley Cyrus, and I said to my daughter the other day, ‘I’m this close to opening my mouth about what’s going on with that girl.’ Who is actually saying, ‘Stop for a second: what do you want, who are you?’”

Winslet, the Oscar-winning actress who can currently be seen in “Labor Day” and plays the villain in upcoming young adult novel adaptation “Divergent,” joins musicians Annie Lennox and Sinead O’Connor in voicing concern over Cyrus’ behavior.
Most recently, the 21-year-old pop star spent the better part of a four-minute-38-second music video for “Adore You” touching herself under a sheet in her underwear.
Winslet, a mother of three, is glad she shot to fame in the ’90s after the release of “Titanic,” because she believes social media has only made managing fame even more difficult.
“It’s really rough now,” Winslet said. “I think, for young actors, actresses and pop stars, it’s a nightmare. They can’t do anything. I’m so not going near that whole world — I don’t need it. I do feel incredibly lucky.”
