Fox topped Monday with steady summer demo performer “MasterChef,” which bested all comers — including two NBC finales.
While ABC finished first in viewers with a strong season-ender from “Bachelor in Paradise,” the network’s fast national numbers are likely inflated due to an NFL preemption.
Fox was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and third in viewers with an average of 5.4 million, according to preliminary numbers. “MasterChef” at 8 p.m. received a 1.8/5 and 5.3 million viewers. A special second hour at 9 earned a night-high 1.9/5, and had 5.5 million viewers.
