Ratings: Fox’s ‘MasterChef’ Tops NBC Finales, Everyone Else

ABC’s fast national numbers are likely inflated due to an NFL preemption

Fox topped Monday with steady summer demo performer “MasterChef,” which bested all comers — including two NBC finales.

While ABC finished first in viewers with a strong season-ender from “Bachelor in Paradise,” the network’s fast national numbers are likely inflated due to an NFL preemption.

Fox was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and third in viewers with an average of 5.4 million, according to preliminary numbers. “MasterChef” at 8 p.m. received a 1.8/5 and 5.3 million viewers. A special second hour at 9 earned a night-high 1.9/5, and had 5.5 million viewers.

ABC and NBC tied for second in ratings, each with a 1.5/4. ABC was first in viewers with 5.7 million, NBC was fourth with 4.8 million.

For ABC, the “Bachelor in Paradise” season finale at 8 got a 1.8/5 and a primetime-best 6.7 million viewers. A repeat followed.

For NBC, the season finale of “Running Wild With Bear Grylls” at 8 had a 1.1/3 and 3.8 million viewers. At 9, the “American Ninja Warrior” finale received a 1.7/5 and 5.2 million viewers.

CBS and Univision tied for fourth in ratings, both with a 1.2/3. CBS was second in viewers with 5.6 million, Univision was fifth in viewers with 2.7 million.

For CBS, following reruns, “Under the Dome” had a 1.4/4 and 6.5 million viewers.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in total viewers with 1.5 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in total viewers with 1.3 million. Following reruns, “America’s Next Top Model” at 9 got a 0.4/1 and 1.1 million viewers.
