The DC Comics-based CW show returns for Season 3 on Oct. 8, and it looks like the first episode will feature a battle between Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and his alter-ego Green Arrow (Stephen Amell).

The clip begins with the titular superhero squaring off against a new incarnation of villain, Count Vertigo (played by “Prison Break” alum Peter Stormare).

“I’m Werner Zytle,” he says, pricking the hero with a syringe filled with an enhanced version of the show’s fictional drug, vertigo. “But you can call me Vertigo.”

“The Count is dead,” responds Arrow.

“Some things never die,” says Vertigo. “You, for example. It’s frustrating. It just means I have to try a little bit harder.”

Arrow and Vertigo 2.0 go toe-to-toe. However, what seems like a routine round of fisticuffs gets trippy when the drug takes hold of the show’s bow-wielding do-gooder. Hallucinating, Arrow suddenly finds himself facing-off against his suit-wearing doppelganger, Oliver.

We aren’t even sure which guy to root for.

“Arrow” returns for Season 3 Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
