TBS has canceled “The Pete Holmes” show.

The series, which followed “Conan” and was executive produced by Conan O’Brien, featured Holmes interviewing celebrity guests and performing in charming and odd skits. Among them were a series of sketches in which Professor Charles Xavier, played by Holmes, tried to fire various X-Men.

The show premiered in October, and TBS renewed it in January.

“We recognize Pete as one of the most relevant comedians working today,” a network spokesman said in a statement. “We loved the show and gave it two chances, we just couldn’t draw the audience needed to justify a third round. We hope we’ll get to work with him again.”

The show’s final episode will air June 19. Holmes continues to host his podcast, “You Made It Weird.”
