CBS topped Thursday night despite an across-the-board drop in its comedies’ ratings, as NBC’s “SNL: Sports Spectacular” rerun easily out-rated the network’s new sitcom episodes.
The “Saturday Night Live” repeat special earned the NBC timeslot’s top rating (1.8) since the Dec. 5 telecast of “The Sound of Music Live!”
CBS was first in ratings with a 2.6 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in total viewers with an average of 11.3 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Big Bang Theory” at 8 p.m. was the night’s highest-rated and most-watched show of the night, with a 5.1/15 and 18.9 million. “The Millers” at 8:30 earned a 2.8/8 and 11.8 million viewers. “The Crazy Ones” at 9 received a 1.9/5, a 21 percent drop from last week, and 8.2 million viewers. At 9:30, “Two & a Half Men” got a 1.9/5 — down 21 percent — and 8.6 million viewers. “Elementary” at 10 had a 2.0/6 and 10.2 million viewers.
Fox was second in ratings with a 2.2/6 and in total viewers with 8.3 million. “American Idol” at 8 earned a 3.1/9 and 11.2 million viewers. “Rake” at 9 received a 1.3/4, a 24 percent dip, and 5.3 million viewers.
NBC was third in ratings with a 1.6/4 and in total viewers with 4.2 million. “Community” at 8 earned a 1.1/3 — matching a series low — and 3 million viewers. “Parks & Recreation” received a 1.2/4 and 3 million viewers. The rerun “SNL Sports Spectacular” followed, which got 4.8 million viewers.
Univision was in fourth in ratings with a 1.3/4 and fifth in total viewers with 3.2 million.

ABC was in fifth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and fourth in viewers with 3.6 million. “The Taste” at 8 got a 1.0/3 and 3.5 million viewers. A rerun followed.
The CW was sixth in ratings with a 0.8/2 and in total viewers with 2 million. “Vampire Diaries” at 8 earned a 1.0/3 and 2.4 million viewers. “Reign” at 9 got a 0.7/2 and 1.7 million viewers.
Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.4 million.
