Hey, the people of Boston have been through a lot.
So you can forgive the young man who announced on a live news broadcast Wednesday that the Red Sox first World Series win at Fenway Park in 95 years was “more the f—in’ history.”

He did it on NBC affiliate WHDH, whose news team scrambled to apologize.
It was the second recent live F-word incident involving the Sox: After the Boston Marathon Bombings in April, Sox slugger David “Big Papi” Ortiz told fans at Fenway: “This is our f–ing city, and nobody going to dictate our freedom. Stay strong!”

His comment was broadcast live, but the Federal Communications Commission decided Ortiz was right. Or at least, decided to turn a blind eye.
“David Ortiz spoke from the heart at today’s Red Sox game,” tweeted FCC chairman Julius Genachowski. “I stand with Big Papi and the people of Boston.”
