Selena Gomez, Garth Brooks, Imagine Dragons to Perform at American Music Awards

The pop star will perform her single “Heart Wants What it Wants” for first time on Nov. 23

At this point, it’s hard to imagine who isn’t performing at the 2014 American Music Awards.

The already long list of this year’s acts now includes Selena Gomez, Garth Brooks and rock band Imagine Dragons, ABC and Dick Clark Productions announced on Thursday. Gomez will perform her new single “Heart Wants What it Wants” for the first time on television at the show on Nov. 23.

Meanwhile, Brooks will perform live from a stop on his current tour in Greensboro, N.C.

Imagine Dragons is set to perform their new single “I Bet Life,” the first music to be released from the band’s upcoming second album.

TheWrap previously reported that Taylor Swift would headline the night, debuting her new single “Blank Space” on the telecast. Lorde, One Direction, Fergie, Iggy Azalea, Mary J. Blige, Charli XCX, 5 Seconds of Summer and Sam Smith have all also been announced as performers. Pitbull will host the award show for the second straight year.

Despite so many musical performances, viewers can also expect to see some awards handed out throughout the evening. Azalea leads the field with six nominations. John Legend, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams each earned five nods while 17-year-old Lorde received four nominations.

Allen Shapiro and Mike Mahan will serve as executive producers of this year’s show. Larry Klein, Barry Adelman and Mark Bracco are producers.

The 2014 American Music Awards will broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Nov. 23 from 8-11 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
