TheWrap Beats Variety and Deadline’s Web Traffic in April

Hollywood news site tops Deadline Hollywood 3 months running on continued growth streak

TheWrap is pleased to announce it has maintained its dominant position in covering entertainment news, surpassing both Variety and Deadline Hollywood’s web traffic in April, according to comScore.

According to newly-released numbers from comScore, TheWrap reached 4.8 million total unique readers in April, compared to Variety and Deadline’s 4.4 million each, besting both sites decisively by 400,000 readers each.

April was also the third month in a row that TheWrap has reached more unique visitors than Deadline on U.S. desktops.

TheWrap registered its highest-ever traffic in March, according to Google Analytics and Quantcast, surpassing its previous record of 7 million unique visitors in December.
 
The traffic news comes on the heels of TheWrap unveiling plans to launch a syndicated news wire focused on providing partners with text, video and unique photography in the entertainment news space.
