Ratings: ‘This Is Us’ Penultimate Episode Scores Biggest Numbers Since Season Premiere

5.3 million people tuned in for the tearjerker

It’s the beginning of the end for “This Is Us.” The second-to-last episode of the NBC drama was an emotional one, as the matriarch of the Pearson family took her last breaths with her children by her side.

The episode was by far the highest-rated show of the night among the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, earning a whopping 0.95 at 9 p.m. 5.3 million people tuned in for the tearjerker. That’s the second-highest of the season in both categories, behind only the Jan. 4 season premiere.

As always, CBS’ “FBI” franchise, which is also gearing up for its final episodes of the season, raked in a ton of viewers.
