‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Trailer Shatters ‘Iron Man 3’ Record With 34.3 Million Views in Just 24 Hours

Marvel’s trailer for the Robert Downey Jr. superhero film racked up 20 million views in the same time frame

The teaser trailer for Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” broke records racked up an astonishing 34.3 million global views in just 24 hours.

The previous record holder was Marvel’s own “Iron Man 3” with 20 million views in the same time frame. The “Avengers” trailer was “leaked” online Tuesday, but Disney made it official, releasing the trailer along with the film’s poster.

Robert Downey Jr.Chris Evans, Chris HemsworthScarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo star in the Joss Whedon-directed superhero sequel.

The studio will release another exclusive look from “Avengers” at 9 p.m. Nov. 4 on ABC following “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” The film isn’t scheduled to hit theaters until May 1, 2015, around the time that this second season of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will be winding down.
