Bryan Cranston: Walter White Is Maybe, Possibly Alive (Video)

CNN’s Ashleigh Banfield gets Cranston to say “Never say never”

CNN’s Ashleigh Banfield has scored what “Breaking Bad” fans will recognize as the scoop of the decade: Walter White is maybe, possibly still alive.

Or at least, the guy who played him won’t rule it out.

In an interview with Bryan Cranston, Banfield floated her crazy theory that Walt may not have died in the season finale of “Breaking Bad,” even though it looked like he very obviously died.

“That final scene, that final image… I wasn’t so sure that you died. I really wasn’t,” Banfield said. “Your eyes were open and I thought, ‘What if the police just take him into custody, he gets better, breaks out and just goes nuts?’

“You never saw a bag zip up or anything,” Cranston said.

“No,” said Banfield. “Is he dead?”

“I don’t know,” he said.

“No movie? No nothing? No Walter White ever again?” she pressed.

“Never say never,” he said.

Of course, Cranston also said recently that he thought “Breaking Bad” ended at a perfect time, like a proud athlete hanging up his gear. So maybe he was just being nice.
