CBS News’ Lara Logan Back in Hospital

The “60 Minutes” correspondent is reportedly continuing to deal with complications stemming from being sexually assaulted in Egypt in 2011

CBS News’ Lara Logan is back in a Washington D.C.-area hospital, a “60 Minutes” spokesperson confirmed to TheWrap.

The correspondent is reportedly continuing to deal with complications from 2011, when she was sexually assaulted while reporting in Egypt.

“We were sorry to learn that Lara was readmitted to the hospital yesterday,” the spokesperson said. “We wish her a speedy recovery.”

A friend of Logan’s told Breitbart News she has endured a great deal of physical suffering over the years.

“Very few people know how stoic and incredibly tough this lady is,” Ed Butowsky said. “In spite of everything she’s had to face in the last two years, people have no idea the physical suffering she has been enduring due to the brutal sexual assault she encountered in Egypt during the Arab Spring while reporting for 60 Minutes.”

This is the second time in two months Logan’s been hospitalized—she was hospitalized in February with internal bleeding.
