Network remains open to another spinoff of the beloved cult series
The CW has passed on “Supernatural: Bloodlines,” a spinoff of the beloved cult series.
Another “Supernatural” spinoff remains a possibility, however.
“Bloodlines,” also once known as “Tribes,” was written by Andrew Dabb, who was executive producing with “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke. It would have explored the hunter and monster cultures of Chicago.
The series was to have starred Lucien Laviscount and Sean Faris. The CW used an episode of “Supernatural” this season to launch it as a backdoor pilot, but elected not to go forward.
The CW also opted not to order another pilot to series. “Identity,” from Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, about a woman who infiltrates a powerful family.
The CW remains open to another “Supernatural” spinoff, given fans’ devotion to the long-running series. “Supernatural” has been renewed for a 10th season.
