Jamie Foxx‘s daughter, Corinne Foxx, has been named Miss Golden Globe 2016.

Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Lorenzo Soria made the announcement at hotspot Ysabel in West Hollywood on Tuesday night, celebrating the upcoming Golden Globes season with InStyle Magazine.

The role of Miss Golden Globe is usually given out to a late teen or early twentysomething with blessed DNA (an on-camera parent or two in the industry is a prerequisite), and entails wrangling trophies on stage during the boozy awards show.

Foxx, 21, is a student at the University of Southern California (USC), as well as an actress and model. She currently has 50,00 Instagram followers and 32,000 Twitter followers.

“Throughout the years I’ve grown up watching my dad establish himself as a well-respected actor,” Corinne Foxx said. “I’m honored that HFPA has given me the opportunity to now share the same stage where he’s been recognized for some of his greatest accomplishments.”

“We are delighted to have Corinne Foxx continue the tradition and have her as our 2016 Miss Golden Globe,” Soria said. “Like her father, she leads a fine example of following her dreams and we can’t wait to see what she does next.”

Foxx accompanied her Oscar-winning dad to the 2014 Grammys and Academy Awards, and ate pizza with the “Ray” star, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan in the audience during Ellen DeGeneres‘ famous pizza handout.

Foxx follows in the footsteps of recent honorees Greer Grammer (Kelsey Grammer‘s daughter), Sosie Bacon (the offspring of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick) and current “Heroes Reborn” star Francesca Eastwood. Before starring in “Fifty Shades of Grey,” Dakota Johnson was Miss Golden Globe 2006. In the more distant past, Laura Dern and Melanie Griffith held the honor.

The title is not always a prophecy for stardom.

Some of the obscure Miss Golden Globe alumnae of yore include Liza Huber, Pat Benatar’s daughter Haley Giraldo, and Jane Seymour‘s daughter Katie Flynn, who was Miss Golden Globe 2001.

Of the moment awards contenders were expected to flood Ysabel on Tuesday to schmooze with the HFPA, as the pre-Thanksgiving party has become a festive social fixture. Expected guests included Benicio del Toro (“Sicario”), Sir Ian McKellen (“Mr. Holmes”), Sarah Silverman (“I Smile Back”), Bryan Cranston (“Trumbo”), and a slew of TV hopefuls like Aziz Ansari (“Master of None”), Gina Rodriguez (“Jane the Virgin”), Matt LeBlanc (“Episodes”), Laura Prepon (“Orange is the New Black”), and Maura Tierny (“The Affair”).

Relocating this event from Fig & Olive, Time Inc. (publisher of InStyle) has been loving Ysabel, one of L.A.’s “clubbiest restaurants“. Sister publication People Magazine held their “One’s to Watch” party there during Emmys week, drawing big from the talent community. InStyle’s partnership with the Globes endures, as they routinely co-host a posh after party at the Beverly Hilton on Golden Globes night.

Ricky Gervais hosts the Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, airing live on NBC coast-to-coast at 8 p.m. ET.
