MTV Movie Awards: ‘Fault in Our Stars’ Nat Wolff on ‘The Hardest Part’ He’s Ever Done (Video)

‘Stars’ author John Green also talked to TheWrap about the much-anticipated June release

“The Fault in Our Stars” is primed to turn actor Nat Wolff into a star, as the film features the relative newcomer in his most challenging role yet.

“It’s probably the hardest part that I’ve ever done,” Wolff told TheWrap on the MTV Movies Awards’ red carpet.

In the film, based on John Green‘s popular novel of the same name, Wolff plays Issac, one of many young cancer patients that make up a support group. Following surgery, Issac struggles with blindness as he befriends Hazel, played by Shailene Woodley.

Wolff also said that, despite the film’s “dark themes” and the hardships his character faces, Issac ultimately emerges as “the funniest character” in the movie, which delicately balances the comedy with the tragedy according to the book’s author.
