MTV’s “SafeWord” launch on Thursday gave the network its second highest-rated series premiere in two years.

The Terence J-hosted game show earned a 0.7 rating among adults 18-34 for the episode that featured appearances by Kevin Hart and Marlon Wayans. The only recent MTV series with a higher-rated debut was the “Fear Factor” revival in May.

The lead-in for “SafeWord” was a new installment of “Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out,” which earned a 0.8 in the main demo, making it the highest-rated episode of the series since its return to the network in 2016.

The two shows comprise MTV’s “Throwdown Thursdays” comedy block.

Executive producers for “SafeWord” are Jay Peterson, Todd Lubin and Jerry Carita for Matador. Candida Boyette-Clemons and Paul Ricci executive produce for MTV. Terrence Jenkins hosts and executive produces.

“SafeWord” airs on Thursdays at 11:30 p.m. ET on MTV.
