Paul Walker Laid to Rest in Small Ceremony

Actor’s memorial is held two weeks after his death

Paul Walker was laid to rest in a small memorial service Saturday, two weeks to the day after he perished in a car crash.

The “Fast and the Furious” actor’s family gathered at the Forest Lawn cemetery in Los Angeles under a green awning to avoid the bright sun. A picture of the actor was set off to the side. The private, intimate ceremony lasted about 45 minutes.

The celebration of Walker’s life comes as Universal Pictures tries to decide how to best honor his memory in the seventh installment of the franchise.

One of his final movies, “Hours,” debuted Friday in 16 theaters and on video on demand. Distributor Pantelion will donate portions of the box office and VOD sales to the late actor’s charity Reach Out Worldwide.
