Ratings: ‘Big Brother’ Hands CBS a Win

CBS’ reality mainstay scores a victory for network on repeat-heavy night

CBS won a repeat-heavy Sunday night, while ABC’s “Wipeout” dipped, according to preliminary numbers.

CBS was first in the key 18-49 demographic with a 1.2 rating/4 share and in total viewers with 6.2 million. Following a repeat of “60 Minutes,” “Big Brother” at 8 p.m. held steady from last week with a 2.1/7, making it the night’s top-rated show, and scored 6.5 million total viewers. “Unforgettable” at 9 had a 1.0/3 and 6.4 million total viewers, while “Reckless” the following hour had a 0.6/2 and 4.2 million total viewers.

Fox, which aired repeats throughout the night, was second in ratings with a 1.0/4 and fourth in total viewers with 2.2 million.

Univision took third in ratings with a 0.8/3 and came in fifth in total viewers with 2.1 million.

ABC tied NBC for fourth place in ratings and came in second in total viewers with a 0.7/2 and 3.3 million, respectively. “Wipeout” at 7 dropped 27 percent from last week’s 8 o’clock airing to a 0.8/3, and took 3.2 million total viewers. “Rising Star” at 9 dipped 10 percent for a 0.9/3 and took 3.5 million total viewers. A “Castle” repeat followed.

NBC, taking third place in total viewers with 3 million, ran repeats throughout the night.
