‘Return to Amish’ on Marrying Ex-Amish Men: ‘It’s Never Easy’ (Exclusive Video)

“Andrew has another thing coming if he think’s he’s the man of the house. He wears the pants, but I control that zipper,” Chapel says of her soon-to-be husband.

Last time on TLC’s “Return to Amish”, the gang was celebrating Andrew and Chapel’s impending nuptials. With the wedding right around the corner, though, Chapel begins to realize some of the struggles she faces with marrying an ex-Amish.

In TheWrap‘s exclusive clip, wedding preparations are in full swing, but with just 27 hours to go before the “I dos,” the bride-to-be vents to Rebecca about her soon-to-be husband.

For starters, she explains that Andrew pulls away the more she asks for his help. This leads to the girls discussing the differences between Amish and ex-Amish men and the gender inequality that is present in their society.

Rebecca explains that the idea that the man is held on a higher pedestal than women is extremely Amish, and often leads to disagreements with her husband Abe, who believes in traditional gender roles.
