‘Teen Wolf’ Star Tyler Posey and ‘Modern Family’s’ Sarah Hyland Kick Off ‘Teen Choice’ Awards

Young actors host Sunday’s show as hip-hop rivals Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea face off in R&B/Hip-Hop category

Teen Choice 2014

“Teen Wolf” star Tyler Posey and “Modern Family’s” Sarah Hyland are set to host “Teen Choice 2014” — but the big story may be the competition between hip-hop rivals Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea, who will face off in the Choice R&B/Hip-Hop category.

Last month at the BET Awards, Minaj apparently dissed Azalea in full view of the cameras. As she accepted her Best Female Hip-Hop Artist award, Minaj acted out some moves from Azalea’s “Fancy” video before saying, “What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is, that when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it.”

Many viewers took that as a direct reference to Azalea, suggesting that the popular hip-hop newbie doesn’t write what she raps.

The rivalry will continue Sunday as the female rappers go head-to-head at “Teen Choice 2014.”

The awards show was recently relocated to LA’s Shrine Auditorium after a water main break on Jul. 29, flooded UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion, where the program was originally set to take place.

The ruptured Sunset Boulevard main sent 20 million gallons of water pouring onto the UCLA campus, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power said in a news conference.

The water filled two parking garages and flooded several campus buildings, including the Pauley Pavilion – home of UCLA Bruins basketball games.
