“You’d be smart to kill me now,” says Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the new trailer for “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” but no one in Sin City ever does the smart thing.
Mickey Rourke’s Marv is more disoriented than ever. Jessica Alba‘s tragic stripper, Nancy, is ready to go crazy. And she and Gordon-Levitt’s Johnny are taking on the most powerful man in the state, played by Powers Boothe.

It’s dark. There’s lots of lightning. Bullets. Blood. People. Are. Terse. We’re firmly in Frank Miller‘s city limits. He and co-director Robert Rodriguez guide a cast that also includes Bruce Willis, Josh Brolin and Eva Green.
The sequel, from Dimension Films, arrives in theaters Aug. 22.
