The Agency for the Performing Arts has “severed ties” with actor Stephen Collins, a company representative told TheWrap. They had no further comment.
Formerly represented by APA agent Jeff Witjas, the decision to no longer rep the actor was made just days after a taped confession that he had molested several young girls surfaced on the internet.
The fallout for the actor since the tape surfaced has been harsh and swift and clearly not a lucrative business for anyone who gets a percentage of the actor’s salary.

In response to these allegations, the actor was fired from the upcoming movie “Ted 2.”
Additionally, Collins’ upcoming return to ABC’s popular drama “Scandal” will no longer air. The network stated it will not be using any footage of the actor, which he shot last month. Collins previously appeared on “Scandal’s” second season on an episode titled “Happy Birthday, Mr. President.”
And TV Guide Network and UPTV have decided they will no longer air reruns of “7th Heaven,” the series on which he starred as family man and Protestant minister for 11 seasons.

The actor also resigned from the National Board of the Screen Actors Guild.
Collins came under fire on Tuesday after audio recordings were released in which Collins admitted to molesting young girls more than 40 years ago, though it wasn’t reported until 2012.
In the audio footage, Collins spoke with his then-wife, Faye Grant, and a therapist. According to reports, Collins didn’t know Grant had recorded the session.

The New York Police Department is currently investigating the claims on the tape, working with Grant in Los Angeles and the LAPD.
