The actors joins the AMC supernatural drama in pivotal roles from Robert Kirkman's comic books
“The Walking Dead” is reaching back into Robert Kirkman's comic book cast for its newest additions.
Eugene and Abraham first appeared in Issue 53 of “The Walking Dead” comic book series and would go on to play important roles in Rick's (portrayed on the series by Andrew Lincoln) posse.
Eugene, an out-of-shape science teacher claiming to know what caused the undead outbreak, and U.S. Army sergeant and sports coach, Abraham, along with travel companion, Rosita (newly cast Christian Serratos) join Rick's group on a trek to Washington.
McDermitt most recently starred as Brandon on the now-canceled TVLand comedy, “Retired at 35.” He has also appeared on ABC's short-lived comedy “Work It.” Cudlitz starred on TNT's “Southland” and has made appearances on CBS crime drama “CSI” and ABC's “Lost.”
Cudlitz is represented by APA and Gold Coast Management. McDermitt is repped by Innovative Artists and Trademark Talent.
After AMC announced Cudlitz's casting during New York Comic-Con on Saturday, the actor tweeted a first look picture.
“The Walking Dead” Season 4 premieres Sunday at 9/8c on AMC.
