Chris Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown have combined their star power to make one electrifying new movie in the form of Netflix’s “The Electric State.”
At Monday night’s red carpet premiere at Grauman’s Egyptian Theatre, TheWrap asked the A-Listers whether they think their other iconic characters would be able to survive the merciless, robotic wasteland of their ’90s-set action-comedy.
“You know what, I think Eleven would do OK. I think she’d be fine,” Brown shared. “Enola I don’t think would be OK and Elodie, I mean, she slayed a dragon. She’d be fine.”
“Oh, man. I think they’d all probably die. You know, I think most of the characters I’ve played would die in this movie,” Pratt admitted with a laugh. “Not Keats, though … Burt Macklin would be gone.”
Indeed, the “Parks & Recreation” comedian plays pro-robot smuggler Keats in his re-team with The Russo Brothers, while the “Stranger Things” star plays the wary yet determined Michelle in her latest Netflix entry, which itself is an adaptation of Simon Stålenhag’s 2018 graphic novel of the same name.
Elsewhere at the premiere, directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo praised their cast — especially those in attendance: Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, Marin Hinkle, Woody Norman and Stanley Tucci — as well as the streamer for being a part of the $320 million project.
“First, we want to thank everybody at Netflix for supporting us on this movie, massive endeavor. We couldn’t be more proud of this film, it’s one of our favorite films we ever made,” they said. “And by the way, there’s no other studio that could have helped us create this version of this movie, so we’re very grateful to have partnered with Netflix on this.”
