In case there was any doubt, Robby (Noah Wyle) is returning to “The Pitt.” The first teaser trailer for Season 3 shows the doctor’s reluctant return. The Emmy darling will premiere its new season on HBO Max in January.
The teaser starts with Dr. Jack Abbot (Shawn Hatosy) preparing the night shift for a rush of patients. When Dr. John Shen (Ken Kirby) points out that Robby’s name is on the schedule and asks if Robby is coming back, Dr. Abbot curtly says “I’ll believe it when I see it.”
The teaser then cuts to Robby anxiously putting on his stethoscope while in the elevator. Immediately, he’s thrown back into the intense world of the ER.
“I knew my first day back was going to be hard, dealing with what we go through here. And I knew that it could get a little bit crazy,” Robby says in a voiceover as the tension builds. The camera cuts between several doctors who are clearly on the verge of an emotional breakdown. “But it’s time to get back to it.”
