Hopefully this news puts a song in your heart: Fox has set the premiere date for the final season of high school choir drama “Glee.”

The 13-episode, 11-week run kicks off with a two-hour event on Friday, Jan. 9, beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT. One week and one hour later, the show will settle into its new regular time period on Jan. 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The series will conclude with a two-hour finale on March 20.

Several original cast members are slated to return on the sixth and last season of the Ryan Murphy dramedy. As TheWrap previously reported, Jenna Ushkowitz, Jayma Mays, Mark Salling and Dianna Agron are among the old-school actors celebrating the final run.

Nene Leakes is also slated to return.

The final season of “Glee” was originally planned to be a full 22-episode season, but Fox dropped the order to 13 in July.

The most recent series finale for the show in May hit an all-time low for the series in the 18-49 demographic most important to advertisers, receiving just a 0.6 rating/2 share, with 1.9 million total viewers.
