AOL, Entertainment Weekly Alum Cyndi Stivers Joins Tina Brown Live

The ousted AOL editor-in-chief joins former Daily Beast chief Tina Brown’s new events project

Former AOL editor-in-chief Cyndi Stivers is joining Tina Brown to “lead the digital strategy” at Tina Brown Live Media.

Stivers left her position at AOL in December after only eight months, following a tumultuous year at the company which saw major layoffs at their Patch division.

The New York Post reports that a lot is riding on April’s Women in the World Summit. The success of the event could make or break Brown, who left the publishing world in December when her contract as Editor-in-Chief with The Daily Beast ended.

Brown has been the co-host (along side Diane von Furstenberg and Meryl Streep) of the Women in the World conference since 2010.
