Ever since Donald Trump announced he is running for president on June 16, the road to the White House has already been a bumpy ride.
After Trump’s inflammatory remarks in which he said Mexican immigrants are “rapists” who are bringing “drugs” and crime” into the United States, the real estate mogul has been under heavy fire. He was blasted by Neil Young for using his song “Rockin’ in the Free World” without permission. He was the subject of Jon Stewart‘s ridicule on “The Daily Show.” The New York Daily News dressed him up like a clown on its cover.
None of the hoorah immediately following the announcement could have prepared Trump for what was to come.
This past week in particular has been difficult with Trump being dumped left and right by Univision, NBC and Macy’s.
Here’s some hits from Trump’s week of misses:
J Balvin Cancels Miss USA Performance Over Donald Trump’s Comments About Latinos
The first to drop out of the Miss USA pageant was J Balvin. Despite the gig being one of the biggest in his career, the Colombian singer was insulted by Trump’s words. “We’re talking about our roots, our culture, our values… His comments weren’t just about Mexicans, but about all Latins in general,” he said.

NBC specified that the annual Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants — a joint venture between NBC and Trump — will no longer run on the broadcaster’s airwaves. Additionally, Trump will not be participating in the network’s reality competition, “The Celebrity Apprentice.” However, since “Celebrity Apprentice” is licensed from Mark Burnett‘s United Artists Media Group, that relationship that will continue without Trump.
Insider: NBC Unlikely to Feature Any Trumps on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’
An insider at NBC said the network had no plans to replace Donald Trump on “Celebrity Apprentice” with any of the real estate mogul’s children. Sons Donald Jr. and Eric were regular mentors and judges on the hit reality series, as was daughter Ivanka.
Donald Trump Slammed As ‘Bigoted, Racist, Anti-Latino’ by National Hispanic Media Coalition
The National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) praised NBC Universal for severing ties with Trump in light of his comments that it considers hate speech. “Today, hundreds of thousands of Latinos and non-Latinos cheer NBC Universal and its parent company Comcast for severing their relationship with Donald Trump for his bigoted, racist, anti-Latino rant,” the NHMC, which boasts a long history of advocating against hate speech in media, said in a statement.
Donald Trump Is Lying About Univision Apology, CEO Says
Trump told a big, fat lie about Univision apologizing after cutting ties with him. Univision CEO Randy Falco blasted Trump’s claims in a memo. “I made the decision to end business relationships with the Trump Organization simply because it was the right thing to do,” Falco wrote in an internal memo obtained by CNN. “No one approached me, asked me or pressured me to take this action. I can also assure you that we never apologized because we have nothing to apologize for.”
Geraldo Rivera Compares Donald Trump’s Presidential Run ‘Excitement’ to 9/11 (Video)
Rivera defended Trump’s polarizing personality during an interview just one day after the real estate mogul announced his GOP presidential run. The Fox News host described Trump’s bid for the White House as a big deal in New York. As big, even, as the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. “There has not been this kind of excitement in the city since, in a very different way, 9/11,” Rivera told TheWrap’s Mikey Glazer two weeks ago during the taping of an upcoming “Drinking With the Stars” episode. “There was never people so energized, negative or positive, about a man announcing a run for office.”

Mexico will not send a contestant to this year’s Miss Universe after part owner and TV mogul Trump made comments insulting their people, Mexican broadcaster Televisa reported, according to Reuters. “For Televisa, any commercial relationship with the Miss Universe pageant and with the companies of the Trump organization is unacceptable,” Televisa said in a statement.
Fox News’ Sean Hannity Defends Donald Trump’s Immigrant Remarks
Sean Hannity came to Donald Trump’s defense following backlash over the billionaire presidential candidate’s controversial remarks about Latin American immigrants. “You want to talk about crime?” Hannity said on his radio show. “Well, what do you think — who’s coming from Latin America and Mexico? Are they rich, successful Mexicans, Nicaraguans, El Salvador residents? No! Why would they leave if they’re so successful?”
Cheryl Burke Steps Down as ‘Miss USA’ Co-Host Amid Donald Trump Controversy
Burke just jumped ship as the contest’s co-host amid backlash, too. “In light of the recent statements made by Donald Trump and the subsequent decision by NBC to cut ties with Mr. Trump, I cannot in good conscience move forward with participating in this year’s Miss USA Pageant as its co-host,” said Burke in a statement.

Miss USA Pageant Loses Emmitt Smith as Judge in Wake of Donald Trump Controversy
The former NFL player joined the growing list of people distancing themselves from the annual beauty pageant. “In light of Mr. Trump’s statements and the subsequent decisions made by NBC, I have decided not to participate as a judge in the 2015 Miss USA pageant,” Smith said in a statement obtained by TheWrap. “Knowing firsthand through my wife, Pat, how much the women prepare for this event, I continue to send my support and best wishes to everyone competing this year.”
Donald Trump Asks CNN’s Don Lemon: ‘Who is Doing the Raping?’
Rather than pull back on his controversial statements, Trump appeared on “CNN Tonight” to defend the comments that sparked the current racial firestorm. “Somebody is doing the raping, Don. Are you saying it’s women being raped? Who is doing the raping?” Trump bluntly asked, referring to a 2014 Fusion article that reported 80 percent of Central American migrants passing through Mexico are raped. “You have to stop illegal immigration coming through the border. If you don’t, you don’t have a country.”
Donald Trump Attacks Obama for ‘Gangbangers’ Remark; Accuses Media of ‘Double Standard’ to Deflect Mexican Mess
Trump called out the “liberal mainstream media” for what he deemed a double standard between comments he and President Obama made. Trump took to Instagram to ask where the media outrage at Obama was.
America Ferrera Thanks Donald Trump for Energizing Latino Voters: ‘No Chance of You Ever Winning This Election’
While most are slamming Trump for calling Mexican immigrants criminals and “rapists,” actress America Ferrera is thanking him. “You see, what you just did with your straight talk was send more Latino voters to the polls than several registration rallies combined! Thank you for that,” Ferrerra wrote in a guest blog for the Huffington Post. “Remarks like yours will serve brilliantly to energize Latino voters and increase turnout on election day against you and any other candidate who runs on a platform of hateful rhetoric.”
